1st character "kizuna" means tie or bond and 2nd character "shiro" means castle or place.
The word“Kizuna”came to to be used in the sense that supporting and helping each other since the earthquake in particular. Shikyo Tanji, the creater of arts in this museum, considered this museum as a place of meeting and tieing many people each other. So he displayed this piece of "kizuna no shiro " to be visible for every visitor in the entrance of this museum.
